Chanel kicked their 2012 Spring/Summer Couture show off in some serious style last week and styled their Paris runway show in the decor of a space shuttle flight! With the spectators in the passenger seats and the model’s runway set as the isle of the space shuttle – guests where in for a real treat as the shuttle  left the Earth’s atmosphere and headed for space. Toward the finale, the Earth actually passed overhead, across the clear dome that allowed passengers a view of the starry sky outside! HOW much do you wish you were there??

The key aspect to the collection was the empowerment of a new fashion attitude. Lagerfeld lowered his proportion even lower than the waist line to the top-thigh, so when models walked down the catwalk with their hands tucked into the pockets they looked like … well boys, or as the designer himself said “like boys whose jeans are slipping off.”
