If you don’t already know, Motelrocks is currently showing our Summer 2011 range at Coterie over in New York.

Aside from the freezing weather outside, we’ve had a great reaction to our colourful, bright and sunny range and our all customers have come to order lots and tell us how much they love it! Yay!

It’s coming to the close of the show and our last visitor only turned out to be Whitney Eve Port (from The Hills and The City) who came to pick out her favourite pieces from the range! Whitney selected a range of pieces and was mainly loving our one piece playsuits and was keeping in mind the Coachella festival she’ll be attending later in the year!

We’ll get back to you later when our Summer range is in and give you a run down of Whitney’s ‘Festival Chic’ look so you can steal her style!

Yasmin is one of the hottest names on the pop/hip hop scene right now at the tender age of  21. She was spotted by no other than Pharell William’s during one of her DJ sets and Before long she found herself touring along-side hip-hop heavyweights including N*E*R*D, The Cool Kids, Will.i.am, Taio Cruz and Eve. Here in the Motel office, we all love a bit of Xfactor!! So Last night when we saw one of our favourite girls Rebecca Ferguson wearing our one and only Lena Jumper Dress we all go a little bit excited!

Rebecca has gave a high level of performance every week and is looking to be a strong contender for the final few! Rebecca has had a consistent classy style through out the show so this casual chic outfit looks amazing on her! Tucking the Lena Dress into a pencil skirt doubles the wear ability of this outfit.. creating more look than one!

Previous years have seen Rachel Adedeji, Alexandra Burke,  Lucy Jones and Diana Vickers (amongst many more) wearing Motel garments in the show and it seems this year the contestants are once again loving Motelrocks.com!

Having the coolest name we’ve ever heard, this pint sized London girl is no ordinary young singer. Hailing from Camden (North London) 22 years ago, Eliza Doolittle is bouncing with energy, big smiles and packed with jaw dropping style.

She has seamlessly merged teenage agro, classic pop and old soul craftily like no other singer presently her age. The pretty melodies and tweeting harmonies on her album is busting at the seams like its creator.

She is the new girl to watch in the style stakes as she comes as a breath of fresh air with her quirky fun fashion sense. We think we have found a new style crush!

We caught up with Eliza recently to have a chat about all things music, her performances at this years hottest festivals and of course her electric fashion style! Here’s what she had to tell Motel…

Eliza Doolittle, how do you go about writing a song?

Well I do it differently but mostly I start with an idea or a concept for a song, then work on the top line.  Usually melody 1st, sometimes at the same time as the lyrics. And then I just build it from there.

You’re named after a character in a play, how did this come about?

Just a nickname that stuck.  Has a nice ring to it so I keep it!

Where do you take your style inspiration from?

I just like whatever I like. If I see something I think is pretty I’ll wear it!

Tell us one wardrobe essential you couldn’t live without and why?

Short shorts !  I just love them…they are my thing. 

Your often seen in trainers, how do you glamorise this street style?

Trainers are great,  you can wear absolutely anything from a posh dress to a pair of shorts and always feel casual.  Glam can be casual and comfortable too.

You’ve made appearances from V-Festival to Party in the Park, what’s your essential piece of clothing for a festival?

Well I know it should be wellies but I’m always wearing my Nike high tops. 

What’s been the highlight of your summer this year?

Definitely the release of my album. That has been something I’ve worked towards for so long so when it finally came out it felt amazing!

Holly Willoughby is definitely hot in the city,  she was papped last week in our Pamela Chain Gold dress at the ITV’S Summer Ball. English singer/songwriter Eliza Dolittle is loving the motel Spring/Summer garments. Eliza’s new single “Skinny Jeans” is receiving airplay from radio 1′s Fearne Cotton, Jo Whiley and Nick Grimshaw, while press are comparing the singer to Lily Allen.
