Peter Giles, the Managing Director of Motel Rocks ran the London Marathon this month, part of a 12 month fund raising project raising money for Cancer Research by doing 10ks, Half or Full Marathons every month for the year.
He’s raised almost £5,000 for the charity and completed the marathon with a time of 4 hours 38 minutes – even after spraining his ankle! Unfortunately we couldn’t persuade him to do it in a Motel dress. Well done Pete!

Hi my name is Charlene I am a fashion blogger here. But today I have decided to invade Motels blog for a bit shhhh………(They know really don’t panic)

O god how hot has it been lately! I’ve been having a complete nightmare in my winter garms. I went out wearing thick jeans, a jumper and biker jacket Friday thinking it just looked hot but wasn’t actually hot. Oh how wrong I was. My makeup pretty much slipped of my face, which is always a nice feeling and I was almost certain I was going to die of over heating.

Luckily Motel saved my life with another Celeste dress that I quickly slipped into. I already have a dotty one which I wear religiously (I think Motel posted a pic of me wearing the dotty one on this blog a while ago actually) I don’t know about you but If I find a dress/top/shorts etc that’s comfortable fits nice and generally looks good then I’ll want the same thing in every colour and print!

I wore the sheer Celeste dress with my trusty floppy hat (which is not leaving my head until winter), lennon-esque glasses, western style shoe boots and black sheer pop socks. Let me tell you these little beauts are a lifesaver when your legs haven’t quite caught the sun yet but you don’t want to be stuffy in tights. I get mine from the local supermarket! I think Motel have some cool HOH ones on their site too though if you want a little more funk in your life!

Some of our favourite looks from last week’s Coachella festival – one of the best American festivals with an amazing lineup – this year Kanye West, Erika Badu and The Kings of Leon headlined amongst hundreds of other acts.
