These gorgeous ladies are the Broken Hearts, a DJ and performance duo who have played at the most exclusive venues in London as well as shows throughout New York, Paris, Moscow and Milan. At recent fashion parties they have been showing their talent at include London Fashion Week and the Vivienne Westwood Exhibition.

Amber and Nisha use an old-time cabaret influence when they dress. They use the colour mixture of black, white and red and have matching glossy circus type bobs. Their striking sense of style has been featured in style and fashion magazines such as British Vogue, I-D and Grazia.

After attending the Vauxhall Fashion Scout shows we quickly shot off to Somerset House to do a bit of style spotting as we knew this is the mecca for true fashion lovers during fashion week. We saw a few celebrities making their way to the shows as well, DJ Queen Jodie Harsh with her flamboyant hair do, jazz /pop extraordinaire Paloma Faith with her wonderful eccentric style and Pixie Lott working knee high socks which are a firm favourite of ours.

The general mood for Autumn/Winter 2010 we found was caramel chiffon shirts mixed up with tough leather. Its all about mixing up fabrics this season. Black was worked in loose fitting smock dresses with lashings of jewellery and it was all about boot camp too ladies! There were also plenty of eye popping patterns being paraded at Somerset House, it made us quite excited about our winter collection.

Yesterday Motel was whisked off to cover London Fashion Week for the Motel blog. We knew upon arrival we had the right venue for Vauxhall Fashion Scout due to the enormous amount of fashionista’s hovering around the entrance.  We were met by our friend Lara who is there covering the catwalk shows for another blog and who managed to get me into two hotly sought after catwalk shows.

The first show was the BA Fashion students from the Swedish School of Textiles whom for the first time in LFW history showcased their graduate collections on the Vauxhall Fashion Scout runway. Each collection unique but all contained the signature Swedish look of disciplined tailoring.

The next show was set in the backdrop of a beautiful Art Deco hall for Hermione De Paula.  Her signature soft and feminine style to create the delicate flower-print. She showcased her new collection ‘Flora’s Illuminate’, which included her anticipated silky touch with a new tougher bite. We managed to pick up one of Hermione’s beautiful fans complete with her signature floral fantasy design.

Monochrome was spotted many times on the catwalk this fall 2010 and our Imogen Dress in Black Ivory Dots is perfect to wear with over the knee black socks and biker boots. Time Out New York magazine loved the dress too as it was spotted in this week’s issue. I would get it before anyone else if I was you!

Motel’s Edrie Skirt in Another Rose has been spotted in this weeks ‘Celebs on Sunday’ magazine with The Mirror. A definate purchase this year as 1950′s have really made a come back.  The floral pattern and high-waisted look is really on trend with Louis Vuitton’s fall 2010 ready to wear collection. Got somewhere glam to go to? Dress it up and wear with killer heels and a corset to really get the perfect feminine style.

Leopard print is really on trend again this winter and our amazing Wilma Trousers in Leopard Print has been spotted in this weeks ‘Celebs on Sunday’ magazine. Would look great with a black corset and heels for the evening and a oversized cami for the day.

Do you love Cheryl Cole as much as we do? Get her look today with Motel’s Bea Bodysuit in Black that was spotted in ‘Now’ magazine! We taken a trip down memory lane to all things 90′s related from our childhood so whether its velvet necklaces or mood rings that used to make you go wild we are found a pick of the best ones!

We can all remember the excitement of buying new shoes as a child but the ones which everybody always wanted were the magic lock and key shoes from Clarks. Have a peek at this advert why don’t they make shoes like this any more?

Having the coolest name we’ve ever heard, this pint sized London girl is no ordinary young singer. Hailing from Camden (North London) 22 years ago, Eliza Doolittle is bouncing with energy, big smiles and packed with jaw dropping style.

She has seamlessly merged teenage agro, classic pop and old soul craftily like no other singer presently her age. The pretty melodies and tweeting harmonies on her album is busting at the seams like its creator.

She is the new girl to watch in the style stakes as she comes as a breath of fresh air with her quirky fun fashion sense. We think we have found a new style crush!

We caught up with Eliza recently to have a chat about all things music, her performances at this years hottest festivals and of course her electric fashion style! Here’s what she had to tell Motel…

Eliza Doolittle, how do you go about writing a song?

Well I do it differently but mostly I start with an idea or a concept for a song, then work on the top line.  Usually melody 1st, sometimes at the same time as the lyrics. And then I just build it from there.

You’re named after a character in a play, how did this come about?

Just a nickname that stuck.  Has a nice ring to it so I keep it!

Where do you take your style inspiration from?

I just like whatever I like. If I see something I think is pretty I’ll wear it!

Tell us one wardrobe essential you couldn’t live without and why?

Short shorts !  I just love them…they are my thing. 

Your often seen in trainers, how do you glamorise this street style?

Trainers are great,  you can wear absolutely anything from a posh dress to a pair of shorts and always feel casual.  Glam can be casual and comfortable too.

You’ve made appearances from V-Festival to Party in the Park, what’s your essential piece of clothing for a festival?

Well I know it should be wellies but I’m always wearing my Nike high tops. 

What’s been the highlight of your summer this year?

Definitely the release of my album. That has been something I’ve worked towards for so long so when it finally came out it felt amazing!

Oh la la. Who’s getting in on the Motel love this week? Our lovely Fiona dress have spotted in the bright & black section in this weeks More magazine. Team it with some pattern tights and wrap up in a some fur waist coat.

I stopped quite a few ladies with a unique sense of style that really showed off what New York City fashion is all about. I had to snap their photos! I adored each of their outfits but there was something missing…MOTEL! I told them all about MotelRocks.com and all the fabulous pieces they need to have in their closets. They were very excited about Motel and I’m sure the next time these ladies step out they’ll be wearing Motel!

Second stop, Patricia Field’s Fashion’s Night Out party! Patricia Field is well known for her styling on the famous tv show and movie “Sex In the City”! She has her own store in the heart of Manhattan.

She kept the original sign of the store! I love anything vintage!

Patricia Field’s store is filled with glitter, glam and tons of goodies! Shopping in her store is like a treasure hunt. You never know what you may find…
