Just before Christmas our Motel store in Bristol let the cast and crew of Skins in for the day to record part of their penultimate episode on Katie and Emily, the twins.

“It’s the college prom. Katie is humilated and wants Freddie to pay, but she’ll also do whatever it takes to stop Emily and Naomi living happily ever after. Twin showdown = double the fun (and twice as mean.)” – Taken from the E4 website

If you’ve been watching Skins from the start you may of caught a glimpse of the shop in the first episode when Freddie skates down Park Street and does a nifty little trick over a skip right in front of the store… if you missed it you can see the image below!

Skins just couldn’t get enough of our wonderful store and so they then recorded a whole scene inside! In this episode the two twins are in the store looking for their ‘Love Ball’ Dresses, when they bump into Freddie and JJ.. If you’ve been watching skins and know the drama you’ll understand why things get a little heated!

The episode is being played this Thursday the 19th March but, if you just can’t wait, then have a look at this clip of the guys talking in the shop!

Motel will be giving out very special goodie bags at ‘Choose your own adventure’ where we are excited to say Henry Holland, the colourful designer hailed as one of the forefront designers who brought back nu-rave with his eye catching slogan T’s and best friend to agyness deyn. Henry Holland suggested Motel as one of the clothing brands to keep an eye on, during his show with the lovely Alexa Cheung on Channel four ‘Frock Me’. The night will be at the wonderful retro bowling alley and venue The lanes in Bristol this Saturday (21st March) see the poster below. Come down for a goodie bag, a boogie, a drink and some bowling!

Last Thursday we had a Discount Evening in our Bristol shop located on the wonderful Park Street. First of all we want to thank all the people who came and made it the success it was! The evening was so popular we had people queuing outside an hour before we reopened, we had free drinks, goodie bags (including 10 special goodie bags to the 1st 10 people who arrived with “i ‘heart’ Motel” t-shirts in them) and free candy floss! What more could a girl want? London Oxford circus, Belfast, Dublin, Manchester, Middlesbrough, Cardiff, Bristol, Glasgow, York, Birmingham, and recently High Street Kensington, Lakeside Essex and Canterbury, with more on the way.
